Portland galleries extend their hours to host receptions for that
month's new exhibitions. Often the featured artist is at the gallery
during the opening. Times and dates are usually in the neighborhood of
5:30pm - 9:00pm, but please check the web site for specific
hours. In addition to the galleries belonging to the Portland Art
Dealers Association, the Downtown Art Gallery
Association also promotes other galleries hosting receptions
during First Thursday, so be sure to check out both web sites or
